We decided to use Guy's services after reading reviews and comparing prices.. he is much affordable than a lot of trainers/programs I looked at and very much worth it. Before the appointment I was prepared to need 3 lessons to solve my adult GSD's leash walking issues.. but after our appointment we were fully confident we could immediately start handling it much better and soon would be able to completely conquer it. It's been about a month but our GSD is doing so much better, walks are no longer stressful, and we have a lot of techniques and knowledge to continue until he is perfect. Guy honestly just wants to show you the tools and information on how to properly help the dog - there is no pressure, sale, or rip off sense. You will get a lot out of it. And he cares - weeks after the lesson you will still receive check ins. I highly recommend!

Guy was a pleasure to work with. We adopted our adult dog Ollie from Franklin County recently and he has become progressively more reactive on the leash, lunging, barking, and growling when we pass other dogs on our walks. Guy worked with us for an afternoon and gave us a number of strategies to help manage Ollie's behavior. He was very upfront about the fact that it would take a significant amount of time and effort to see a change in Ollie's behavior. We've been using the tips he gave us for several months now, and although Ollie isn't a perfect dog yet, we have seen significant improvement. Our two Siberian Husky pups are totally transformed in only two weeks and one session. Before Guy came into our home they were impossible to walk, played almost violently with each other and we felt we had no control over either of them. After only the first week of homework I can walk both dogs holding both leashes in one hand. They sit on command, they now lay quietly at my feet in the evening without prompting and can safely play together sharing toys and not teeth! The tips we were given and suggestions of how to train them to understand who is in charge have been spot on. We look ahead now as they develop and mature with much excitement because now that they are calm and obedient we will be able to travel with them and really enjoy their personalities.

I have recommended Guy "The K9 Guy" to several people. He helped me to train my puppy Odie 5 years ago and came back recently when Odie's older sister died at 14. Odie was reacting aggressively to strangers and demonstrating other behaviors not normal for him. Within a couple of hours, Guy showed me the anxiety that Odie had in this "new normal" and also ways that I could help him address these behaviors. Within 2 weeks my sweet dog was back to normal. After all my years with my dogs I found out how much I "didn't" know! We rescued an eight month old lab/cattle dog mix that had absolutely no training. We got a very sweet labradoodle with a real stubborn streak. A neighbor recommended Guy and I am so glad she did. Guy could not have been more patient and understanding. He answered every one of what was probably hundreds of questions. With his clear explanation and direction we were able to convince our dog that we were the leaders and his job is to obey. He is still a puppy but such a pleasure! He does not have accidents in the house and has not chewed or damaged any of our belongings.
