War Dog Commemorative Stamp
In the past I've posted information and supported efforts that recognize the contributions of War Dogs - dogs used by our military. There's a new online petition for a commemorative stamp. The petition reads:
"We, the undersigned, formally request the Citizen's Stamp Advisory Committee to recommend to the United States Postal Service to issue a commemorative stamp to honor and remember the contributions made by all, United States Military War Dogs who served with courage and loyalty."

Thanks for the information. Also, concerning pet stamps, there is a set of stamps available at the post office now (May '10) that supports the Humane Society. It is titled "Adopt a Shelter Pet" stamps. They are of shelter cats and dogs with a portion of the procedes going to shelters.
