Microchip Helps Pooch Home

Also, be certain to ask how to register your dog's chip. Many clinics and vets leave this responsibility to the owner. If you don't do the follow-up registration (which will be an added fee), your pet's chip number won't be tied directly to your pet, reducing the likelihood of a successful return. And while tags are the obvious 1st line of defense in getting a lost dog home, they won't help if your dog looses its collar or a criminal intentionally removes them.
