TX DA Starts Special Dog Unit

A TX District Attorney's Office is running a trial program using dogs to help kids who are victims of, or witnesses to, violent crimes. The dogs are intended to help the children relax before they need to give statements to police or testify in court. This program was developed after studies with veterans indicated dogs can provide substantial benefits to persons dealing with stress.
