Lost Dog?
In last week's post I discussed dealing with dogs that have firework and noise issues. Dogs with intense fear of noises find this time of year very stressful and often flee the safety of their home or yards. If your dog has run off, it's very important that your CALL AND VISIT all of your local shelters to search for your pet.
There are countless stories every year where mis-communications result in a lost dog being found, taken to a shelter, but never being reunited with its family. If your pet is lost, there is no substitute for making a personal visit to all shelters in your area. The sooner you do this the better, as most shelters can only keep animals for a short period.
