Dog Saved From Mine Shaft
This dog was rescued by some brave souls that were hiking by and found the dog at the bottom of a Nevada mine shaft. The rescuers were warned by local rescue agencies to stay out of the mine as it was not safe, but took the risk anyway. They successfully rescued the dog and returned it to the owners.
UPDATE 06-15-09; This story has generated a tremendous number of hits and comments in recent days on this blog. Most of the comments are being posted by anonymous parties claiming to know those involved in the story. As there is no way to verify this information, and it is serving no useful purpose, comments on this post are now closed.
