Speeding Ticket Kills Dog
This story involves a couple who were pulled over for going 95 on the interstate. They were taking their dying dog to an emergency vet clinic and the police video shows the officer refusing to assist. In fact, the officer was rather callous regarding the situation.
While most pet owners will sympathize with these dog lovers, the law is the law. At least in Ohio there are no provisions for expedited transport of sick or injured animals. If there were, I'm sure private providers would offer the service. While the officer could have been more sensitive and probably more helpful, police officers can't allow citizens to jeopardize their safety or that of fellow motorists.
