Dog Medical Care
This story out of Tampa discusses a dog who had a pacemaker implanted for some cardiac problems. The results were good, and the vet in the story talks about how much of human medicine (procedures, equipment, etc.) is being used in Veterinary medicine. They also briefly mention the cost involved. This dog's owner payed around $5,000.00 for the pacemaker.
As Veterinary medicine technology continues to improve, costs will certainly continue to rise. This may be one of the best arguments yet for considering health insurance for your pet.
