Groomer Battles With State Over Dog
This story out of Hamden, CT involves a dog that has been roaming the street for months and was finally taken in by a local groomer. The State requires dogs to be kept in a shelter and posted in the paper for a week , presumably to let an owner find their lost dog. In this case, the groomer did post an ad in the paper and has spent considerable money on the dog. It's hard to imagine that sending the dog to the shelter for a week will serve any useful purpose...
