Autistic Child Not Allowed to Bring Service Dog Into School
Thist story out of PA involves a school district denying an autistic boy his service dog in the school. The story indicates the parents only want to have the dog in a common area during pick-up and drop-off.
It's unfortunate this is occurring, but hopefully incidents like these will pave the way for better accessibility for service animals. I would be interested in knowing what the school's objection would be. The story infers they don't see this request as a reasonable accommodation. That's a shame.
