K9 Deputy "Kroc" Receives Medal of Valor - South Carolina
Here's a great story out of SC where a Police Dog named Kroc was stabbed several times while taking a suspect down. The dog had broken ribs and internal injuries form the incident on March 20th, but has now recovered.
The county Sheriff awarded Kroc the Medal of Valor for his bravery. This is the highest Sheriff Office honor that is given. Working dogs like Kroc assist officers in a multitude of tasks including protection, detection of illegal substances and bombs, taking down suspects, sweeping buildings for suspects, looking for lost persons, and being another set of eyes and ears for officers.
Congratulations Kroc!

IT SHOULD BE A FELONY TO HURT A K9 DOG, WHILE THIS DOG IS IN ACTIVE DUTY, AND IT SHOULD BE MADE PUBLIC WHO THE PERSON IS THAT DOES THE HARM. WE SHOULD PASS A BILL MAKING THIS A FELONY.
